Julie Farmer

Ms. Julie Farmer is a Registered Dental Hygienist and graduate student at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Her research includes quantitative and qualitative analyses of oral health inequalities, as well as knowledge synthesis activities related to dental hygiene, dentistry, and health services research. Her dissertation assesses the individual and family impacts of treating early childhood tooth decay, which is one of the most common reasons for day surgery in children under five years of age in Canada. In addition to her research activities, Julie is an active member of the Canadian Association of Public Health Dentistry, and holds numerous volunteer and leadership positions within and outside the University of Toronto.
