Faraz Mohammad Moharrammi

Faraz was first exposed to research through conducting his DDS thesis on pain perception and quality of life in TMD patients at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. On a path to becoming a clinician-scientist, he contributed to several interdisciplinary projects aiming at determining the associations between oral and general health to promote personalized medicine. To continue his journey, he moved to Canada and enrolled in the MSc program in Medical Sciences at the University of Alberta. Interested in clinical and epidemiological studies, he then joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 2021. He is now approaching his 2nd year as a PhD student and recently started his Dental Public Health specialty training. His project revolves around developing models to predict the risk of osteoradionecrosis of the jaw in head and neck cancer patients using machine learning approaches.
